View Full Version : Matching frames of two videos

I have two videos. One is low res, crappy quality but no logo and lower FPS, other video is high quality but with a huge annoying logo. I intend to trash the logo by upscaling resolution of the first video and copying the area over to fill logo area.

The problem is, the temporal frame orientation isn't matching up regardless if I changeFPS() to make the frame count identical. The lower quality video also has duplicate frames on top of the lower framerate.

So I can't currently get rid of the logo unless the frames of both videos are temporally identical.

Is there a way to force them to match up?

Assuming that, without duplicate frame, both videos would have the same frame count, you could:
1. Use "DeDup" to remove the duplicates in each video
2. Use "AssumeFPS" to set both videos to the same speed (NOTE: Changefps can create or delete/merge frames to achieve the desired speed)
3. Use "Overlay" to place a region of one video atop the other (be sure both videos are in the same color space)

Do you understand what I'm saying when I say the temporal frame orientation does not match?

For the overlaid part to cover the logo and look right, frame 26 of the logoless video must be frame 26 of the HQ logo'd video. If I'm overlaying the corner of frame 27 of the logoless video to frame 26, it won't look right.

The logoless video is low quality, half the resolution and 23.976 fps. The high quality but logo-butchered video is 25 fps.

I need the temporal frame orientation of the HQ vid to match the one of the logoless vid so I can properly de-logo.

If you're so paranoid about me posting here, why let me register at all?

If you're so paranoid about me posting here, why let me register at all? You should have just waited as you were instructed after the first attempt, or contacted a moderator. In fact the system is automated and after a handful of posts you will no longer be subject to moderation.
