I'm trying to re-encode a 160min 4:3 letterbox DVD9 to a 16:9 one. Re-encoding to DVD5 is obviously to be avoided, so is there a way to get DVD9 16:9 output from DVD-RB? Currently, it does not re-encode ("Reduction Level for DVD-9: 100,0%"). I seem to remember a hidden setting that forces the output size, but not sure if and how it works.

In DVD Rebuilder: On the OPTIONS tab, "AVS Options"/"Convert from LB 4:3 to 16:9"

Thanks, yes, I mean DVD-RB Pro. I've checked that option. However, it seems that if source and output mode are both DVD9, there is no encoding whatsoever (thus, no 4:3 to 16:9 conversion).

Is there a FORCE_ENCODE option in DVD-RB?

Is there a FORCE_ENCODE option in DVD-RB? Yes, it isn't a hidden option -- you just check the option under the MODE menu.
