Hello,

does actually x264 already support AVX2 and TSX of the new Haswell cpu or are there any plans to support it.

Right now it even seems that in the 2nd pass Haswell is even slower than Ivy Bridge with one of the latest builds (r2334).

Hmm... Quite strange. Check this (http://mailman.videolan.org/pipermail/x264-devel/2013-April/010044.html), this (http://mailman.videolan.org/pipermail/x264-devel/2013-May/010049.html) and this (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?p=1631325#post1631325).

I couldn't replicate the strange review results in my own tests; I've been working on a Haswell for months and x264 is consistently ~15-20% faster per-clock (compared to Ivy Bridge) depending on encoding settings. The only thing I can think of is some sort of bizarre AVX/SSE transition issue, but I couldn't replicate that in my tests either.
