Hello,

HandBrake is great. But when encoding is done, no notification popup. There is a guy has develop a small tool to fill this gap.

The tool is HandBrake Encoding Notifier. It’s a program which popup a notifier when HandBrake encoding is done. When HandBrake encoding is done, a notification and a popup appear. When you click on the small window, then the file just encoded will be open for playing. Very simple, and in my opinion, very nice.

Because this tool is new and I used it, then I want to share with you.

Yeah, it really makes me wonder why this isn't standard for tools that process queues and/or take a long time, MKVToolnix anyone?

i guess this is mainly because not everyone wants to be informed ?
When I encoding stuff with Handbrake or ffmpeg I usually either select shutdown after encoding (which often ends in the middle of the night) or leave my box running till I switch it off manually...YMMV

Adding a simple "Playsound" function on certain events does not hurt though... :D
