I'm having problem in using DVD2SVCD.
1 - After the movie has been processed, there are no CUE/BIN file in the directory.(how much disk space do I need to burn a 100 minute movie?)
2 - There is a CCE_Encoded_Video_NTSC.mpg file which plays fine in windows media palyer but when I tried to convert it into SVCD using myDVD/Ulead movie factory, there is noticeable delay in video and audio.
3 - When I tried to play the SVCD in pioneer standalone dvd player, the sound is way out of sync and is not contineous.
Please help and I would deeply appreciate your time and effort.

Thanks
Zack

Hi valiant4,

did dvd2svcd finish correctly? Have you selected the "Don't make Images" option in "CD Image" tab? If so then you will only get the MPEGs and no *.cue nor *.bin files. Usually you should have about 10GB free on your drive but more is better. (Read the Newbie FAQ if not already done) ;)

Post the dvd2svcd_log.txt please for further help. Also give some info on the DVD and your system please.

Hi gerti67,
Thanks for your quick response. I did select the "VCDXbuild" and I ran it again and NO cue/bin files again. I just deleted the whole folder as I was running out of space. I did check the log file though and there was no error or problem indicated. I had 8 GB at the time of ripping. Thanks for your advice I'm going to read the FAQ. I'm using winDVD and my system is Sony Vaio 1.7GHz, 512MB Ram, 60GB Hard Drive.

Assuming the mpg plays properly in PowerDVD or WinDVD, please use vcdeasy to create your bins and burn the cd.

Has anybody tested Ulead movie factory to see if it works properly?

Thanks for your help. I've created bin file using vcdeasy. Now what software should I use to burn the SVCD?

Probably you need to install the following software.

http://www.doom9.org/Soft21/SupportUtils/forceaspi17.rar

I guess this can solve the problem.

bye.
