Hello fellow transcoders,
any success demuxing opus from matroska?

Some kind of experimental opus support has been
implemented in the latest mkvtoolnix..

Haali splitter doesn't seem to be able demuxing the stream.

How would it be possible to demux this stuff from the container?

By using an up-to-date (AND "experimental") Matroska splitter. ;) :sly: :D

Seriously, me thinks the Opus codec is an overhype. It was designed to be "Ogg-compatible" in the first place, and people should have already learned how much the Ogg container suXXX. :)

If MKVToolnix can mux Opus into Matroska file now, it also should be able to demux it again ;)

Other than that, an up-to-date libavformat, either from ffmpeg or libav, would be your best bet, I guess...

I could implement it in DGDecNV if you give me a sample and the Opus specification.

no need to waste your time for the moment because the Opus implementation in Matroska container from mkvtoolknix is just a draft...

Yes primarily i use the haali renderer for my video playback..
But for some reason the Haali aka Matroska Splitter sitting @ http://haali.su/mkv/
doesn't look that much up-to-date to me.. Is there nightly builds and such somewhere?

If MKVToolnix can mux Opus into Matroska file now, it also should be able to demux it again ;)Probably it can. It's just i guess what i really meant is splitting and playback..

I think this one isn't new but do you plan to add ati videochips support? For some applications they look much faster, i.e. mining..
