I have been trying to successfully burn my first DVD for about a month now. I thought I had everything ready, and then I previewed it in DVDit PE, and the audio was out of sync.

Instead of trying to trim the audio, I started over, and used DVDdecrypter. Only thins time, I merged the AC3 and video into one VOB. My thinking was, this way, the audio can't be out of sync, and if it's small enough, I can burn it straight to DVD. Well, DVDdecrypter generated and IFO file and a VOB file. Both totalling over 6Gbs.

So, now I need to compress it. From reading here, it seems that CCE maintains better video quality compared to ReMPEG. I have looked at RobShot's 'how-to' and everything looks ready to go. My question is, can I compress the VOB file that I have created with both the audio and video? Or does it have to be just the video? And if it is just the video, won't that throw the audio out of sync?

Thanks for the help.
