Chopper XP don't run on Windows 8

Hey hi, did anyone managed to run Chopper XP on Win8? It gives me critical error when trying to launch it: Critical System Error. Reinstall Chopper XP, and try again.

Or maybe there is some alternative for chopping .vobs?
