Is there any similar, preferrably free (but not necessarily if price is reasonable), program out there with same functionality? I like to make simple encodes out of my discs and hate to click through menus and stuff. Not everything is bluray yet, and probably never will.

So far no tool I've tested has the same simplicity which is why I'm still using it in conjunction with DVDFab.

I tried a few yesterday and DVDFab (v9 beta, not sure how v8 looks and works) seems to come close, but nowhere near the awesomness of the simplicity of the shrink.

@Octo-puss

Hi!

I've been relying on DVD Shrink since we were first testing it.

If it continues to meet your needs (as you seem to indicate), I see no reason to look to replace it...

It usually works for me as well, but I had few cases where it just flat out refused to eat the data I tried to feed it :) I am not putting it away though, was just looking for something similar in case it fails.

DVDshrink NEVER failed me. In case you try to use it on heavily protected DVDs, well, erh, this is entirely your fault.

Continue to use DVDShrink first - and if you come upon a disc it can't handle, use DVDFab for that exception...
