Probably because I'm a creature of habit (spelled A.N.A.L.), I've never thought to even ask if the following is possible:
Can BD-RB be properly active while using a ripper, such as DVDFab, or the DVDFab "key" program, or AnyDVDHD, or MakeMKV, is being used to rip from the actual Blu-ray disc?
If so, would doing so sufficiently speed up the overall procedure to more than compensate for the undoubtedly extra wear and tear to the drives being used?

You mean, can you rebuild directly from the Blu-ray disc, instead of from an HDD rip of the disc? Sure. Will it save time? Perhaps a little; likely not much.
Or,... can you rebuild a previously ripped disc while you rip a different disc at the same time? Yes, you can do that too. This is a time saver if you are processing more than one disc, since the re-encoding process is CPU limited, and ripping the next disc will not noticeably slow down the re-encoding of the first disc.

I usually wait until the encode has started (since it is not as disc intensive) and rip while BD-RB is doing pass 1 and pass 2.
I'm not sure what you mean by compensating for wear & tear.
