okay, i burned an oversized vts folder to my hd that i was going to use dvd shrink to make the correct size for a dvd5 disc. i noticed the last vob had a problem when i transcoded it, so i edited it and put it back into the vts folder. problem is, it is a bigger vob file size now from the original vob and dvdshrink cant open the folder because of that vob.

there's no chapters/markers on the last vob, so i thought it'll be easy fix. i tryed to use ifoedit and re-stripped the vob but ifoedit seems to only save it up to the size of a dvd5 meaning it actually cut the last vob to fit.

how can i edit the ifo to adjust for the new larger size (last) vob and save it at the oversized size for dvdshrink to make compatible for dvd5 disc

sheesh, i hope that reads right

Maybe some snapshots of the tools and directories/folders might help.

not sure how snapshots would help or what to take them of...just wanna know how or if (but there has to be a way to do it) edit the ifo file to allow for a different size lats vob in video_ts folder

VTS_01_5.VOB size before editing 745mb

VTS_01_5.VOB size after i edited it .99gb

cant import folder into dvdshrink because last vob size gives dvdshrink an error

Since you're apparently unable to explain, the images will fill in the 1000 words they are supposed to replace, each. :)

this the video folder before i edited the last vob
http://imageshack.us/f/547/filebeforevob.jpg/ http://imageshack.us/f/547/filebeforevob.jpg http://imageshack.us/f/547/filebeforevob.jpg/
after editing vob5 its size grew some
http://imageshack.us/f/853/filenewvobsize.jpg/ http://imageshack.us/f/853/filenewvobsize.jpg/
i thought i could just add it to the folder and open it in dvdshrink to correct size but i get this errror now in dvdshrink
http://imageshack.us/f/46/filedvdshrink.jpg/ http://imageshack.us/f/46/filedvdshrink.jpg/
i assume this is because the ifo info shows a mixmatch in file size so i read getting isoedit could fix this, but i cant find where the size of the vob is to manually edit it so i tryed to strip and rebuild it in ifo edit but instead it appears to make the folder dvd5 size, cutting the last vob size to fit

im def a newb to isoedit, i cant find how to edit the new vob in so i can use dvdshrink on the whole folder

What I gather from these images is that you "edited" (whatever this does mean) the VOB #5 without considering it a part of the DVD. No matter what editor have you used, you'd have the same result - unless you had the almost impossible luck ever - the editor threw away valid parts of the video because it thought they were invalid.
Since we (I :) ) don't know what "editing" you use, I can only direct you to a video editor that "recognizes" a DVD and can work upon one.

@iHATEeverything

Is there a reason you (apparently) haven't yet tried DVD2One?
