Hi,
I'm just curious about the procedure used here to make this video. It's "The love expert" 1920, (remembering "The Patsy", 1928 by King Vidor)

Noticeable artifact on the right (the picture is cut), and the marks on the top border. The resolution is not bad. Sometimes mostly on the cards, it is sliding from one side to the other... No stability.
Thanks, L

Looks like timecode to me. It should be outside the picture altogether, but was probably left in here because it was hidden in the overscan area.

Thanks David....
Also the perspective is never false. Funny thing, sometime "tint pink" appears quickly, manuscript on white. Also at one time (i cant find it now) it's fully out of vertical sync, the bottom comes on top, black strip and then the picture.
Interlaced ntsc, 59,94 fps. I don't believe it's a VHS.

Another great movie, "When knighthood was in flower" 1922, with Marion Davis !

Unfortunately, there is no better print available, and there isn't much to do for this, maybe dehalo alpha....
It's a pity such movies are not better restored... !

It's the WSS line which stores several of the video's parameters (not just the aspect ratio). However it should not be way down there, the picture has probably been shifted down somehow.

Hi,
Are there any chances to enhance this one ? The edges are so over lightened, and overall the picture looks "flat"... 1919, G Swanson. The edges.. how could they do that...
Thanks, L
