DVD+RW/DVD-RW: with is the best?

I just would like to know which of DVD+RW or DVD-RW is the best: compatibility, reliability...

I dont think it has really been decided yet from my reading. DVD-r has better compatability than DVD+RW, but DVD+R should have equal or better compatability when it is available. None of the current DVD+RW burners can burn DVD+R, but the new ones out in a month or so should be able to.

I see alot more DVD+RW drive around and feel that it will be the winner of the format war.

Note: Everything I said is from reading and could all be completely wrong :)

I think there's no war format at all. Sony is working on a DVD-RW/DVD+RW universal burner, and I think LG is doing the same thing. You have PC drives that can read every format available (Liteon, Toshiba...) so you could have standalone multi-read players without problems. Where is the war?
