View Full Version : Missing Encoded_Audio_2.mp2 - Only selected One

Holomatrix
12th February 2002, 13:24
Hello, I'm using DVD2SVCD 1.0.6 b4 and when I checked on the encode in the morning, bbMpeg failed at "Missing Encoded_Audio_2.mp2". I only have one audio track selected like always. I think what happened is that I changed the original selection from English AC3 ch6 to English AC3 ch2 and DVD2SVCD is thinking I now have two audio tracks selected eventhough I don't. Has anyone else had this problem?
Thanks

I had made a copy of Encoded_Audio1.. and called it ....Audio2.mp2 then finished with the Crash Recovery, but just wondering why this happened.
Thanks

Holomatrix
26th February 2002, 17:18
This still happens. Changing audio tracks from 6ch to 2ch will result in DVD2SVCD wanting to encode both tracks which screws up. (see above)
Does this happened to anyone else?

pacohaas
27th February 2002, 01:58
does it happen with the newest version?

Holomatrix
27th February 2002, 13:40
Hi, yes this happens with the new version to. All I do is when I open the ifo (Movie = The CRAFT) DVD2SVCD selects the 6ch and what I do is, since you just can't uncheck the 6ch, I select 2ch as Audio stream 2 then when I change the option to make the 2ch audio stream number 1, DVD2SVCD un-checks the 6ch and everything looks great. But as you can see below, two audio files get encoded;

I could just leave the AUTO selected stream but I don't have a stereo system, just my DVDplayer connected to my TV and forcing 6ch to come out through the TV speaker makes some movies not sound to great.
Can you try what I just did and let me know if it happens to you to?
Thanks alot for responding.

you need to uncheck the second audio in the Audio tab.

Holomatrix
28th February 2002, 12:51
When I change the other one to 1st audio stream the other one does get unchecked. There is only the one streem checked. That's what makes this a wierd problem. Have you tried it?
Thanks

Holomatrix
28th February 2002, 13:41
Ok, I fixed it. Instead of having two audio streams selected (6ch number one and 2ch number two)then when changing the 2ch stream to number one unchecks the 6ch (problem starts), I did not realise that if I right away select the stream I want to stream one it will uncheck the other. SO no need to have two streams selected at all. So I can work around the glitch, but if you want and select two streams then change your mind to one stream then you are going to have the problem.
Thanks for the help anyway :)
