View Full Version : Problem with the Designer PS scipts

I'm having an issue with the script "Slices to Scenarist Designer". All the other scripts work fine, but when I click and use this one, it doesn't work. Meaning, when I click on the script and choose my HTML file (yes, I have all the options correct for designer when I saved the HTML file), I click the HTML file and PS runs the script super fast.

I can see a little of the folders being made, but then it's all over and nothing has changed. I get no nice neat folder hierarchy like it should be. I've tried re-installing the scripts and re-installing Photoshop. What I don't understand is that I was able to use this script before a little while ago but now it just doesn't work.

You should not close the file with the slices.
I mean, when you save the html file, do NOT close the graphic file and just go and run the script and select the html.
It should work.

I don't close the file with the slices. It's always open. I do my slices, save the HTML, then immediately run the script. I never close any windows.

EDIT: Here's a video I took of what's happening

No ideas?

There is a step of "import folder to layers" before the slices step.
Have you done that?
You must create 3 pngs, one for each state, then close the graphic, run the script import folder to layers and select the folder where you have those 3 pngs. That will create a graphic with 3 layers, one for each state. Then you must slice your graphic and run the slices script.

That is the way I do it and its working everytime.

Sorry, I just saw the video.
Well, no ideas... can you test it on another computer? Maybe something else is happening.

EDIT: Which PS version do you use? Try CS3.

Oh, and something else,
Try to draw another button, not only one and see what happens.
And if you only have ONE button, you could easily skip this step by creating the layout yourself. After all you have the 3 states ready.

I know it's an old thread. But I had the same problem.
The solution seems to be changing te name of the layers.
For me sceneselection_ACT is not working but sceneselection_act gives the correct result.
When you look in the script the extension is _act, _sel and _nor
