Compatibility AVCHD vs BD (TsMuxeR)

Hey everyone,

recently I noticed that trying to burn some H264-files using TsMuxeR GUI and ImgBurn, the only way to make them playable on a SA Panasonic DMP BD30 is by choosing the "Output AVCHD".
I remember earlier (I guess up to version 1.8.30b), I always chose "Create Bluray disc". But if I try this now, my player spits "unsupporting disc". The only thing it swallows is AVCHD. (Just for interest, I burn the finished files on DVDR (DL), not on BR-discs)

Is there a specific reason on why it worked properly earlier (selecting "Create Bluray disc") and on why I need to choose AVCHD disc now?
(Are there, for instance, any new BD standards which my player does not understand?)

And is there actually any difference between the AVCHD- and Blu-ray disk-Output at all?
Is it more recommendable to use the AVCHD-Output of the latest version (1.10.6) or the old Blu-ray disk Output of version 1.8.30 for example?

But unfortunately I do not find anything on the difference between the "old BD-", the "new BD- and AVCHD-Output" in tsMuxeR.
What has actually changed that the newer BD-outputs are not recognised anymore by some players?

And btw - is it though possible to put a DTS (-HD) sound on an AVCHD, even though it does not support DTS (but only AC3) officially?

ImgBurn will add certain "Blu-Ray" folders to your burn if you allow it. I highly suggest turning this feature off. I made dozens of coasters before I realized they had made this change and that was the reason for my discs not playing in a Sammy SA player.

You changed the type of the medium (from BDR/E to DVDR), this is why I gave you the results of my tests, that include your player. There must be no change in tsmuxer output, in particular that the last update of tsmuxer occurred some 5 years ago :)

The players of today are more relaxed, maybe they have a better compatibility of formats over media, maybe also some relaxed AVCHD specs :)
