CCE speed doubled [Archive]

I recently installed a seconded hard drive. 40 gig 7200 rpm. I have DVD2SVCD on my primary 20 gig 5400 rpm and I set the default output folder on the Misc settings tab in DVD2SVCD to a folder on my secondary drive. I have since converted two DVDs to SVCD and my CCE speeds have risen from 0.95+ to 1.6+.

512 mb SDRAM
XP 1600 AMD CPU
Windows ME
ECS 266 FSB Mother board
20 gig 5400 rpm HD
40 gig 7200 rpm HD

I have another drive lying around so I think I'll try this (Get 0.55 CCE speed with my Celery 900/100). One point - if you set the default output folder on the new drive, won't the AVI file be coming from there also ?
