I'm thinking about buying a dvd writer, namely the Pioneer A03, however being on a limited budget I need to check that my existing dvd player will play dvd-r media ok.

I've recently compiled a dvd image file from a certain 4 cd svcd film :-)

I'm looking for someone in the uk who can write this dvd for me so I can test my player for compatability.

I will of course pay for the cost of media and p&p plus whatever you think is approprate for your time and effort.

Have you tried checking here: http://www.vcdhelp.com/dvdplayers.php to see if your player is there?

What player do you have? I have a pretty massive list of compatible (and incompatible) systems for A03-burned DVDs.

I've got a Samsung 709 with the latest firmware, this should play dvd-r's. Unfortunately there have been some people who have been unable to play then even with updated firmware. Hence the request.

I have however recieved a couple of responses via email so I should be able to test soon.
