decoding divx videos on embedded device

Hi Experts,

We have MPEG4 all profile decoder on our embedded device and now want to add divx decoding capability to it. Doubt is divx(dx50 and above) streams are fully compliant to MPEG4-ASP standard?. If our decode can decode MPEG4-ASP streams means can it decode DIVX streams also?. I mean whatever DIVX Inc added the features to DIVX codec(over MPEG4) are quality related and they will affect encoder implementation but not decoder. am I correct?

yes we contacted DIVX INC, waiting for there reply. meanwhile just wanted know about decoding with other experts.
