I want to create DivX codec videos for different containers and start with a .avi elementary stream. Between the different videos I want to vary the DivX codec versioning. E.g. I want to use the DivX5; DivX6; DivX 4.x and DivX7 codecs. The problem I am currently facing is that most encoder software just allows you to use the option to encode to DivX without the possibility to select between DivX versioning. The goal is to eventually use the videos encoded with different DivX versioning’s for different. containers.

Does anyone has a suitable solution available allowing flexible encoding of videos for the different DivX versionings?

Hi!

If I understand you correctly, you should be able to accomplish your purpose by using VirtualDub, which certainly allows you to select which version of DivX codec you want to use...

Thanks allot. Managed to encode almost all different DivX versions using Virtualdub. I am now only suffering with DivX7 (H.264). If I am correct the encoder cannot be directly download from divx.com? Anyone who has a clue were I can find the DivX7 encoder?

Thank you in advance
