Since last week I got lip sync problems with my htpc. I reinstalled (full format) my system a few times but I can t seem to get rid of it. I know lip sync problems can be caused by a lot of things but maybe you guys have sone new input for me.

The lip sync problem in detail:
The audio/video out of sync starts to be more visible/noticable in after quite some running time of a movie. It is really not that much lip sync but clearly noticable. The problem is that it can only be seen after running a movie for approx. 90 minutes or longer so changing a setting to see if it fixes the problem takes quite some time!

I m running w7 x64 with latest windows updates and latest directx version. My gpu is a nvidia gtx580 and I use the DVI out to my projector (display device) and the HDMI out to my HDMI 1.3 Denon AVR.

For playback I m using mpc-hc, lav audio and video filters and madVR as output renderer. I already tried different versions of MPC-HC, LAV filters and madVR and combinations of the 3 but that did not help. Also tried different nvidia driver versions.

Tonight I will run a test again with MPC-HC with all internal filters enabled and EVR as output renderer. This way LAV filters and madVR are not used so I can exclude that the problem is caused by one of them.

Which kind of audio format (bitstream or decoded) causes sync problem?

Have you tried disable (uncheck) "Auto A/V Sync correction" option in LAV Audio Decoder?

Hi!

Have you checked to determine whether your system may be progressively overheating?

Bitstreaming

Did not try to disable the auto a/v sync option. You know what this option does?

No this is not the problem. I have a high-end watercooled UNDERclocked htpc with a 1000 watt power supply
