Hi, I'm new to gordian knot and i'm trying to encode "Being John Malkovich". I've searched the forum for answers but from what i've read here and in the guides i still have a few problems.

I decided to go for 1CD because the movie would stay way to far from 1400mb(not even 1giga). I guess it compresses very well.

I cannot make bits go near 0.20 and compression 60-75% at the same time. If I change the resolution so i can get near 0.20, compression goes to 112% or if otherwise(near 75%) i get (0.14)bits. What else can i do?

My understanding is to use bits/pixel-frame only when yer pre-compression test. It is used for estimating resolution and bitrate.

Once a compression test has completed, ignore bits/pixel-frame and use the load factor from the test.

yep, thats exactly right
