Hi all,
this might actually be a stupid question but how do I find out which "button" of the bluray menu belongs to which M2TS file or PLS file on the BD ?
I am currently tranfering my BDs to my HTPC. Since I am not only ripping single movie BDs but also TV series stuff and anthology boxes, there often is more than one movie on the BD I am interested in.
Example #1: The walking dead Season 1 and 2
When I rip this with either wiht MakeMKV or Bluray Ripper (DVDFab Stuff), any BD results in multiple MKV files which are named after the title, e.g.
Title1.mkv, Title5.mkv and so on.
Problem here: For Walking Dead Season 2 we are talking about two blu-rays filled up (theoretical) with 13 title sets (since we have 13 episodes for season 2). Walking dead has no good visible episode title within the beginning of a movie, which you could quickly search for. I spent an hour yesterday evening with a webbrowser open at one monitor which showed the episode content and the MKVs on the other monitor and tried to match the title two the episode. "Nice" work for someone who has too much spare time (if there is such a person). Also there were some duplicate titles where lets say title1.mkv was the same movie as title12.mkv.
Example #2: Alien Anthology
This great box features all four Alien movies in the standard theatrical form and as new directors cut. When I rip them, I get the same issues as described above. Not only that I have each movie sometimes 2-3 time as different title. No, I also have the problem to find out what the "Official Theatre cut" is and what the "Directors Cut 2009) is. At least during my www search I could not find a list of all titles with playtime, which at least partially would solve this problem.
Is there some sort of player / software where I can find out which movie is referenced by a certain menu button ?
How do you solve this for your season BD rips ?
TIA,
D$
