I'm having some problems with the audio sync of my encodes, it happens with mp4 and avi files (both in full processing modes and direct stream copy). In both files I have to apply a skew correction (+500ms and +2000ms respectively). I save them with "save as avi", but the resulted avi has the audio out of sync (have to manually add +100ms in vlc player to math the virtualdub preview sync). If I save them with "old format avi" the file have perfect sync. I made sure both audio and video have the same length, and they are always fine in the preview, so I have no idea what may be causing the problem...

edit1: It seems that its a problem with the input plugins. the default one (for avi) causes the preview field (but not the final encode) to have a slight audio off-sync, so adjusting the skew inside virtualdub causes the saved file to "seem" outsync O_o. I installed and opened the avi with the ffdshow plugin and the preview is now correct, but now I can't use "direct stream copy".

Well, after hour of testing, the problem turned out to be the "Sync to audio" option, after disabling it the preview and the output file were in perfect sync.
