I'm trying (for the first time) to convert a file avi in svcd. Ijust finished to create a mpeg file. What have I to do with tmpg mpeg tool? only cut the file in 2 (or 3 cd)? Or have I to use simple multiplex (what is this tool exacltly)?
Finally Have I to burn cd using nero 5.5?
thanks

i thing you have 2 read the newbie FAQ. Try a small file first 4 faster turnaround times. Follow Microsofts new guides:

This is the unclear part
"Once TMPG is done encoding you'll either have an mpg file...
If you have an mpg file go to the TMPG MPEG Tools (File -> MPEG Tools) and load your mpg file then press Run."
I'll get another mpg file? (in multiplex option)?
after that Do I have to split the file using bbMPEG?
Thanks for help

if you have an mpg file from tmpg you run the demuxer from the mpeg-tools and what you'll get is an .mp2 (audio) and .m1v (vcd video) or .m2v (svcd video) file.. you'll then mux these in bbmpeg. If you did an nstc -> pal conversion there's no need to split since you got the .mp2 file from besweet and the .m1v/.m2v file from tmpg so audio and video is separated already.
ahh.. now I finally see where you got stuck.. the guide neglects to mention that you have to be in the demultiplex tab. I'm in the process of fixing the guide..
@edit: fixed.. is the guide ok now?
