Does anyone has DIVX certified program experience?

Hi, Folks,

I am a engineer from a software company and was asked to gather information about DIVX certified program, I really have no idea about that and the introduce on DIVX website is not that clear.

How much money they will charge us if we want to apply the certified program? What kind of solution we will send to DIVX for the certification? How about the steps?

Please, if anyone who has went through the DIVX certified program, Please share me your experience, thank you very much!

Divx became popular and made a name for itself back in the days when MPEG-4 Part-2 was all the rage.

However, since the development of MPEG-4 Part-10, I think its far to say that Divx as a brand, has become irrelevant... So personally speaking, I don't see the point of any hardware product being 'Divx Certified' any more...

DivX is a commercial ClosedSource product. So you'd have to ask DivX Inc. (http://www.divx.com/en/company/contact-us) to license their stuff...

Nope not yet, I got some replies from DIVX forum members, but not fully useful, still waiting.
