Hi,

I've seen some examples where ac3 has been multiplexed together with DivX movies and I've got some requests to make windows codec plugin using azid. But I dont feel called to do the task - I want to focus on the azid core. I think this is a very good idea, certainly if ac3 is beginning to be widespread as audioformat in DivX's.

Is there anyone out there that would like to make an audio codec, using azid.dll?

From my viewpoint, this task will include:

- Interfacing with Microsoft codec system
- Interfacing with azid.dll
- Making a azid settings GUI (ala whats used in AzidGUI and Besweet GUI)

(Another idea could be winamp azid plugin...)

I think this would be a great idea as there really aren't enough options when using WinDVD multichannel (iviaud.ax)such as LFE downmixing, compression, etc. An Azid directshow, provided it would be possible, would go a long way to improving playback. Since Azid decodes far faster than realtime in its current iteration, I presume that it would be possible to implement such a filter!!! I say GO FOR IT!!!!!!!!!!
