Help!
I am having terrible problems getting Scenarist SD running on Windows 7, and Sonic Care is clueless.
The app installs okay (version 3.4.3) and after running the dongle drivers, I get told to plug in dongle and it causes a BSOD every time.
What to do??

KeyLok is the green one, right? Sonic has a separate installer for Win 7 for the KeyLok drivers available on their support site, make sure you are using those. It's probably the same thing you can get here:
http://www.keylok.com/support/downloads.aspx
I'd uninstall Scenarist completely, and even delete the Sonic (or Rovi) directory if you don't have other software installed there, and then install just the dongle drivers and make sure if recognizes the dongle happily...
Sonic also has a 'Dongle Cleaner' tool that will remove the KeyLok drivers completely. That might help get everything removed before reinstalling.

Hi Rik.
It is indeed the green one. Works fine on an XP system, just not on my Win 7 system.
I got the latest drivers from the Sonic Support site (dated 23-04-2010) and have tried 3 times so far.
I think your suggestion is the way to go - I will uninstall everything, and try again with just the KeyLock drivers.
I cannot find the Dongle Cleaner tool in the downloads section though......and I will try getting in touch with KeyLock, as Dave (Sonic Support) is stumped. He dsays all I can do is get in touch with KeyLock support.
Great VFM at £350 plus VAT per annum!!
I will give it a try, and although this will not be today (I have a mix to do today) I will post back with what happens.....
THank you for your suggestions, and if you can point me at the cleaner tool that would be awesome.
I have looked on the KeyLock site, and they have a much newer driver there as well.......almost 2 years newer.

PM me your Email address, I can send you the DongleCleaner... I've never used it on a Win7 system though, so it may just give you an error...
I'd use it's 'Remove' or Uninstall option only, and then use the KeyLok installer to install the drivers.
A more drastic option- Ask Dave about the possibility of swapping the KeyLok for a Sentinel Pro dongle (the purple one). I know that dongle works with the latest versions of Scenarist SD, so he may be willing to work something out with you there (not sure what they may want to charge you to do that though...)
But the KeyLok should work with Win7, it just sounds like something is conflicting with it...

Hi Rik.
According to Dave at Sonic, the Dongle Cleaner will not work on Windows 7.
HOwever, the driver download from their main website has sorted the problem out, and Sonic will be updating their download link (their version is 2 years out of date). Apparently the new KeyLock drivers no longer require uninstallation as they handle the mess automatically as well.
A sentinel Pro dongle would be awesome - my DVD-Audio Creator also runs on one of those - but now I have this one activated at long last (one small scare when I entered the 3.4 code instead fo the 3.4.2 one) so all is well again.
Phew.
