SD DVD & Playlist

Hi all,

Sorry but I havent found something similar in this forum.
I want to create a playlist in a DVD in Scenarist.
From a menu to select some or all of the 12 clips I have, to
playback in the order I select them.

For e.g. To play the 5th, 3rd, 11th and 8th out of 12 or all the 12 in the order I want.
Also in the menu a button that resets my selection.

Can you give me directions how to achieve that?

Well, one way would be to put all 12 clips in one PGC in a Title, and have a Cel command at the end of each one that jumps back to the Pre command of the PGC. There you do a couple of checks to determine what piece to jump to next. (You'd have to disable chapter skipping since I believe that would skip the Cel commands...) (You could also just make each of the 12 clips their own Title, and just jump around the Titles the same way...) Of course, this won't be seamless...

You'd have to know how many options were selected (does the user want to play 4 items, 7, or all 12), and then you have to store their choices. If all your GPRMs are available, use one for storing the number of items the user has chosen, and then reserve 12 GPRMs for storing the item # they want to play (GPRM1 is the # of the first choice, GPRM2 is the number of the 2nd, etc).

If you have GPRMs tied up with other stuff, you may have to get into bitwise functions for storing multiple options in one GPRM...
