Hello experts,
Regarding to sub-clause 8.4.2.4 when building the initial/default reference list for B slices in fields. I have a question concerning the exact meaning of the following passage listed in the 1st bullet in the sub-clause 8.4.2.4:
...reference entries that are currently marked as "used for short-term reference"...
Here reference entry can be a complementary reference field pair, now I have a question that whether the standard allows to have one of the field in the pair marked as "used for short-term reference" while the other field marked as "used for long-term reference"?
If it is allowed, then how to decide whether the complementary reference field pair, as noted as reference entry in the sub-clause, should be marked as "used for short-term reference" or "used for long-term reference" ?
Thanks
