I always thought that when adding xy-VSfilter, you just choose the DirectVobSub (Auto-Loading Version) from the dialog... how come you even browsed for the folder?

Anyone mind confirming the right method? I'm always confused with it...

If you install xy-VSFilter by using either the installer or regsvr32, you only need to select 'DirectVobSub (Auto-Loading Version)' from the dialog and set it to prefer. This is the standard method.

Shibicki choose not to install xy-VSFilter on a system level, but rather have MPC-HC load VSFilter.dll manually from a folder.
This a non-standard method, but it should also work fine if you have reason not to use xy-VSFilter outside of MPC-HC.
