So I like to watch movies on my PC. I'm currently using ffdshow, mpc-hc and madvr. According to madvr my PC's display is 59.86094Hz altough Windows probably rounds it to 60Hz. I have tried other refresh rates but get no image. This is not that surprising since my display doesn't even have an OSD...
Anyways, the problem when playing 23.976fps progressive blurays (= most of them) is that the video looks very bad. Basically if there's camera movement (panning) or other movement (flowing water) on the video, it looks very uneven and jerky compared to how it looks in the movies or with my friend's "24p" video projector.
So are there any avisynth filters or something which would in real-time alleviate the issue without introducing major artifacts, and preserving the look of 23.976fps video?
Many scripts I've found seem to concentrate destroying the image in a way or another. Especially annoying are those which try to make the video look like it was shot with a 60fps camera...
This question has probably has been asked many times earlier, but I couldn't find answers so I most likely just suck at searching. Thanks in advance for any answers :)
