PAL deinterlacing

While trying to encode interlaced PAL DVD material to DivX, I wasn't content with GordianKnot's "Fast Deinterlace" and "Smooth Deinterlace" settings so I tried to get the job done by using:

1)
Decomb's "Telecine()"

2)
"GreedyHMA(1,0,0,0,0,0,0)" and
"GreedyHMA(1,0,2,0,0,0,0)"

In the first case, the line at the bottom was flickering (black/white), which was very annoying. In the GreedyHMA cases, there were three lines on the right hand side (as I recall, a red/green/blue line).

Can anybody fill me in on what I have done wrong? I have used a correct aspect ratio in GKnot...

7) Currently works properly only if fed a screen width in pixels that is a multiple of 16. Otherwise it may produce garbage at the right of the screen that you may have to crop

Earlier versions of Decomb had a problem with the top and bottom lines.

If you are using Decomb 3.0 and still have the problem, can you please make available a short test clip and your script so that I can duplicate your issue with Decomb? Thank you.
