Looking for MP4 samples

Progress has been steady. I have DGIndexNV working for MP4 files containing these media types:

AVC and MPEG2 video
MPEG, AC3, and AAC audio

I'm starting to look at VC-1 but maybe some other audios are needed more urgently.

I would like to ask our MP4 container fanboys and girls (:D) what your needs are. What media types in MP4 are prevalent in the wild?

MPEG4 ASP video is a possibility too.

The most popular combination is AVC video with (ADTS) AAC audio. Followed by AVC video with AC3 audio.

AVC video with AAC audio and TTXT subtitles seem quite popular in Indonesia (for some odd reason). But most people tend to use VOBsub (.idx/.sub).

I would personally like to see support for MPEG-4 Part-2 video in .MP4 - so that all bases are covered ;)

First generation 'Nero Digital' certified hardware players supported MPEG-4 SP/ASP with AAC and/or AC3, along with VOBsub (.idx/.sub) subtitles and chapters placed within the .MP4 container.
Most hardware players fitted with Realtek A/V decoding chip-sets are able to play any combination of (ISO) MPEG video and audio stream placed within the .MP4 container ;)

PS: I tried the VC-1 in .MP4 file (sneaker_ger supplied) in all my hardware players... But none of them could play it!

I personally use almost exclusively AVC + AAC in my own MP4 encodes. Rarely I mux ASP video in MP4 when I don't feel like re-encoding some old stuff of mine from Xvid era ;)

Up until that version dg can't or couldn't handle avc bluray streams? That might explain why the latest one i dled from the site made bdrb stay at "finishing dgindexnv frame indexing" or something similar on my "amazing Spiderman". It stayed at 100% of demuxing and indexing for over 20 minutes till i aborted bdrb. Swapped to x264 lace and it demuxed properly and started encoding.

I've carried out some tests with various MPEG-2/AVC and audio combinations and it appears to be working fine.

I also tried a few AVC with AAC in .MOV contained files. Which worked okay too...

I have added support for VC-1 and can successfully process the VC-1 sample (not yet in the linked version above).

I need to make sure I haven't broken anything before releasing it so if you could run it on some TS, PS, MKV, and ES streams that would be helpful. Ciao!

Okay I've tried the following. All worked without issue: -
MPEG-2 in .M2V
MPEG-2+AC3 in .MKV, .MPG, .VOB, .TS, .M2TS, .MP4
MPEG-2+AAC in .MKV, .TS, .M2TS, .MP4

MPEG-4 AVC in .264
MPEG-4 AVC in .H264
MPEG-4 AVC+AC3 in .MKV, .TS, .M2TS, .MP4
MPEG-4 AVC+AAC in .MKV, .TS, .M2TS, .MP4
