Hi guys,
What I wanted to achieve: use Cyberlink PowerDVD's Dolby Headset audio decoder in Windows Media Player (if possible) for music, and Media Player HomeCinema for movies.
Why? Because the encoding this thing does is excelent and only bested by Plantronics hardware Dolby Headset surround (sold with Plantronics 777). Any other Dolby filter I tried... sucks. And since I own a Nokia BH-905i and use it A LOT with my notebook, I'd love to be able to be able to use the surround (not having to buy a Plantronics decoder and using the Nokia with a cable, of course).
Some time ago Cyberlink used to sell a Dolby filter, but it isn't available anymore.
I found some guides around the web. But I couldn't make it work... The best I achieved was a lot of noise coming out of the speakers. :P
So far, I did achieve that Windows Media Player and MPC-HC uses ffDshow with a nice result.
Do you know how to force it to use Cyberlink audio decoder?
Does it require to use the x86 version (instead of x64) since I believe there is no x64 version of Cyberlink audio decoders?
Thanks!
