HDConvertto - where is the mp4?

Computer has been cranking away converting a 20G mkv to a 5G mp4 for the past ~40 hours and all i ended up with was a log0 folder with the files? I forgot to put a save file name, but the tooltip says it would automatically make one for me.

So what happened?

I had the same problem (plus a few more), no mp4 file was written to the harddrive after the encoding finished.

I converted a mpg file that was recorded from tv using my Hauppauge WinTV-PVR 350 tv tuner card & then I wanted to convert it to MP4 so when I get my HTPC setup I can use VLC to watch all my movies, tv shows, etc. in my living room.

I have the latest version of HDConvertToX (HDC) and the last time I used it, I converted some files to MKV and HDC worked fine...no problems at all.

So now I want to get busy with converting the rest of my movies, etc. and I've tried 3 times & have had nothing but problems. The first two times trying to convert mpg to mp4 and the third time trying to convert mpg to mkv.

When I used the mkv container, the file was written to the harddrive, but the sound wasn't what I put into HDC when I was setting up the encoding process. I selected 160kbps AAC audio & the mkv file ended up with like 48kbps audio.

The last time I tried after the audio problems, there were 3 crashes of some of HDC's applications, which are listed below:

3. Faulting application x264.exe, version 0.0.0.0, time stamp 0x4cb5dc10, faulting module bass.dll_unloaded, version 0.0.0.0, time stamp 0x4a16b463, exception code 0xc0000005, fault offset 0x1100cff1, process id 0x15c4, application start time 0x01cd99ffa4df803d.

I have also attached the files from one of the encodes (I accidentally deleted the other jobs, sorry I wasn't thinking). The attached files are from the 2nd try using the mp4 container.
