Adjust "Increase Rate" steps?

I can only increase the rate to 2x and 4x.
How do I adjust it to, say, 1.7x?
Is that a property of the filter?

From your other thread, assuming VLC and/or Mplayer, both use [ and ] as default keyboard shortcuts for finer control of playback speed.
In VLC, you could simply right-click on the playback speed indicator in the UI and use the slider.
No idea about MPC-HC.

Yeah, I'm using MPC-HC, with CoreAVC LAV filters for H.264 and LAV for everything else.

VLC can adjust the playback speed great, in 0.1x increments. I'm trying to replicate that in MPC-HC. It's using WMA2 and WMV3 filters. I'm not sure if they're equivalent to WMVideo/WMVAudio Decoder DMO, but those still give 2x/4x speeds in MPC-HC.

You have done a good job that you have replicated VMC into MPC and yes WMA2 and WMV3 filters is equivalent WMVideo/WMVAudio Decoder.

Thanks. So is it a limitation inherent to MPC (that only allows the rate to be adjusted to 1x, 2x, or 4x, and nothing in between)?
