View Full Version : Media Player Classic Playback

I used RipBot to encode my Blu-ray rips. I hadn't done any in a while, but I recently upgraded my PC to x64. Since upgrading my PC, the resulting files have lineage, where you can see lines in picture using Media Player Classic or Media Player Classic x64. It might be called tearing I think, but I'm not sure. I never had this problem when I was on x86, so I'm wondering what the problem is? Is there some codec or other file I'm missing in the coding, or is it the playback software that could account for this? The old files play fine on x64, it's just the newer ones that are having issues. It's a little better in VideoLAN, but I can still see it some. If someone can lend a hand it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

If you are using Windows Vista/7 - have you turned off Aero? Also check GPU settings, VSync shouldn't be off.

Did you forget to turn on deinterlacing or IVTC in Ripbot? Also, could you post a screenshot?

Thanks for the replies. The old files work fine in x86 or x64 with Aero on. Why would having it on in x64 make any difference? I'm not sure how to turn on or off vsync. I have an nVidia 520GT if that makes any difference.

I'm pretty sure I coded the files the same as did before, but here's a shot, though I'm not sure if that's what you want:

Thanks again for the help.

Sorry. My mistake. I meant to ask if you could post a picture of the lines that you are seeing in the videos.
