Hi,

i need some help in ripping ID 4. I try t o rip the RC2 SE version of this movie and the problem are the 2 Programm Streams for the cinema and the special edition version. The rippig of the movie and the menus works fine, but if I remux the transcodet (Reempeg2) m2v File, the movie stocks and bring me artefacts. These Problems are only at the points where the 2 versions different and therefore the program streams are different.

Has anybody ripped the movie and can help me with a short step by step description for this work.

I have ripped some other movies an all woks fine, but in die case I need help.

Thanx

Hi,

I can report that the problem is solved, but I donīt know why.
I make the remuxing again with the 0.82 er version, and I marked the Remove Angel pointers and the Adjust Angel pointers both. And now the movie plays fine, but I donīt know the reason, because there are no angels.
I hope derrow or another guru can explain this.

Finally Im really happy that the movie plays correct.

i haven't had much luck remuxing using the latest version of ifoedit either.
i need to try one of the older versions and compare.
all goes fine, but i get artifacts and pixellation on my settop player.

The problem is seamless branching i guess, but i am not sure if the RC2 Release is a seamless branching disc?

hi,

i'm having this kind of problem wirh abyss RC2
if i choose only the pgc i want in smartripper the set of vob files "plays" well in dvd2avi
but since the ripped ifo of the main movie still contains all the pgc, i think ifoedit is lost and the dvdr set of files ifoedit creates doesn't work at all

thanks

thanks to seamless branching "abyss" R2 contains both versions of the movie (short and long)
smartripper says long is PGC 1, short is PGC 2
is there a way, using ifoedit, to parse the main ifo file to create a set of vob files containing only the short version since i want to do a dvd->dvdr conversion ?

thanks
