View Full Version : Minor skipping problem

I'm using DVD Decrypter to rip the DVD and Womble's EasyDVD to burn it. Everything goes fine -- I get no error messages of any kind -- but when I play back the finalized disk, I get occasional "hiccups." The scene will lose about 1/10th of a second. It isn't a major problem, but it would be nice to eliminate this effect.

1. Can someone tell me why this is happening and offer a solution? Is the problem tied to DVD Decrypter or is it an EasyDVD problem? (Or something else entirely?)

2. I'd like to eliminate using DVD Decrypter altogether, but I cannot figure out how to rip items from several different disks and then burn them to a new blank DVD. Everything I try with EasyDVD to save an edited file fails to carry over when I remove the original disk from the drive.

Many thanks for any help. And please, be kind, I'm a noob. A hopeless noob!

Does the DVDDecrypter log show it bypassing unreadable sectors on the original disk?

Log shows nothing like that.

I don't know if it's germane, but whenever I try to quit the Decrypter, I get a batch of sequential windows telling me something about how I haven't set the correct time. I can just click "OK" on each on and it goes away, but I just thought I'd mention it.

I've never seen anything remotely like that.

You might want to scan your machine for a virus.

Checked multiple times for viruses, malware, etc. Nothing. The error windows tell me I failed to specify data. I will try reinstalling the decrypter. (After uninstalling, of course.)

Any suggestions appreciated.

Get a fresh download before reinstall. The one you have could be just corrupt or tampered with. I would use the download page on this board.
