Hey, I'm using BeSweetGUI to try and encode an AC3 file from an old movie into mono (since that's all the sound data there is). The problem is that LAME won't encode it for me, even if I select the channel mode as mono, it will encode it to joint stereo every time. How do I prevent this? This is wasted data. Thanks.

Greetings,
BeSweetGUI is a front-end for azid, lame,BeSweet (and others).
BeSweet.exe doesn't support mono encoding (yet?), but lame.exe does, so try to use the BeSweetGUI to decode the AC3 with Azid, and encode the mono MP3 with lame.
