Hi all,

I need to create a SD DVD which has 2 subtitles. English and French.
What I need to do is this.
When loaded to 'read' what is the language of the dvd video player default subtitle and set the according subtitle on.
If the user has the player default subtitle language to English to load the English subs, if it has it to French to load the French subs on BUT if its any other language to set them off.

Is it the SPRM18 the one I should check?
Can you please help?

Thanks!

Yes, read SPRM18.
If it's 26226, turn on the French subs. If it's 25966 turn on English.
Anything else leave the subtitles off (actually use the command with 'Display Subpicture' unchecked, just be safe).

If you are tracking subs in a GPRM, then you can set that GPRM to 64 for Eng, 65 for Fre, 0 for anything else, then just set Subs to the GPRM.

Yeah, there's lots of places... Find a good one, print it out and keep at your workstation. :)

But if you ever find you need one quickly, just set the menu language to the language you want in the Scenarist simulator. Hit play, and look at the value displayed in the SPRM for menu language (or set audio, look at that SPRM, or subtitle...)
