I've been looking for a resource that describes in detail what exactly is improved in video decoding/encoding in VP5/Feature Set D capable Kepler based cards such as the 640GT.

The only resource I can find is the below wiki page which says significantly improved performance when decoding H.264, VC-1 and MPEG-2 codecs . I'd like to know exactly what is now handled by the GPU that wasn't handled in the previous generation Purevideo HD other than 4K video support.

I vaguely remember stumbling on an ideal webpage in the past which explained in detail what features were handled by the GPU and which features were handled by the CPU (for various video decoders) in previous generation Purevideo. I can't find that webpage anymore.

EDIT: I think I found that page, however, looking for an updated version to it:

Thanks in advance!
