Hi,

I was wondering if someone could give me some guidance on cleaning up the PAL version of the The Wire.

I have tried using QTGMC() with basic settings and the output comes out jerky. Is it better to keep this as 50fps with a simple bob()?

I have never been too good with this type of material.

Thank you for your time :)

Only tested quickly, but bob().srestore() more or less brings it back to the original film. Try using qtgmc() instead of bob() there for better quality.

Thank you ajk :)

This seemed to clean it up quite nicely, it can get a little jumpy in high motion scenes but i can live with it.

FYI The Wire NTSC version includes some true interlaced material, which is more prevalent in later seasons...
