Hi All,

I've been riping and re-authoring DVD's for a while without problems, however I always play them on my PC with Power DVD.

I have recently tried re authoring a dvd, by extracting only the movie I needed from it, and then burning back to dvd for a stand alone player. However it does not work in the player.

Procedure.
- Use DVD Shrink to Re Author the DVD, selecting the track I need.

- Use IfoEdit to make the dvd start again once its finished.

Everything works fine on my pc in powerdvd, but the burnt dvd fails to start when inserted into a dvd player. Manual start button on dvd player also fails to get the dvd playing.

Your comments and suggestions are welcome :)

I believe you have to re-think this step.

Use PgcEdit to implement the loop command.

I want to create a DVD that will loop back to the start and play once its finished playing. I will check out PgcEdit

How did you burn this DVD? If you didn't use ISO-9660(?) & UDF, you'll have exactly that problem - a PC will play it fine but a standalone won't.

the burnt dvd fails to start when inserted into a dvd playerIf you're not already doing so, use IMGBurn to burn your disc - and abide by any informational and/or error messages it generates...
