Hello guys,
I need your help with finding an editing video software for a ".trp" file.

I success to play this video file properly with LAV Filters, and even encode it to XviD + MP3, but I must find a software to edit this trp file.

Remuxing to a more common container format might be a good idea.

This worked for me:
ffmpeg -i rec_00000000.trp -vcodec copy -acodec copy rec_00000000.mkv

After that you can edit the file just fine with NLE solutions like AviDemux.

The AAC codec found in the stream CAN'T be remuxed to mp4 with ffmpeg. But in case your favourite NLE software doesn't support mkv input, you can always convert the audio to a stream that's supported by the mp4 container.

TRP files are IIRC only TS files with a custom header. Have you tried tsremux or tsmuxer for repacking into TS or M2TS?
