Hi All,

I get trouble when rip HD source video 720p had bitrate ~8mbps, 24fps (MKV) to 720p mini HD (TS) with X.264 comandline.

Someone guide me : " setting video target 50fps for smoothly motion than 25fps" . And result such correct when watching in tivi but I feel motion actor abnormally rapid and I think the duration of target get shortened not like as duration source. I tried checking duration source then it is like duration target.

Why? Do your can help me know it ? And choice 25fps or 50fps for better than .

Sorry my Enlish not good. Thank so much for help me know about it .

If you encode the same number of original frames in your source at a higher framerate then the duration will get shortened.
When ther play movies in PAL format on TV they actually increase the playback speed from 24 fps to 25 fps and the duration is shortened.
You can interpolate new intermediate frames if you want a higher framerate at the same duration.

To get 50 fps you can first increase speed to 25 fps and then use a framedoubler like in this thread:

The suggestion to use (keep) the full 50fps frame rate only applies if the source clip is true interlaced video. Then, yes, 50 or 60 frames will noticeably increase the 'presence' effect at the expense of twice the file size. Upconverting a progressive clip serves no practical purpose.
