Hello, everyone, please forgive my English is not very good.
After a month of learning, I have to authoring some BD3D 25G.(TotalCode Professional + Scenarist BD)
Use the Sony player to watch is perfect!Very smooth!
When I use Pioneer, Panasonic players play, the picture is not smooth, (a small part of the scene,Screen there is a little slow)
I think this is a BD disc (25G) can not buffer the bit rate is too high,(left:14M/25M;right:8M/18M; Total video bitrate:43M)
I heard the TsRecordingRate settings can affect the response speed of the player.
Because,I set the Base TsRecordingRat:44000128; Dep TsRecordingRat: 19999872;
I do not know that such a set is reasonable!
But the software can smoothly creation。
What do you think?

Nobody have an idea?

Here is an idea- contact Sonic support. Both products are pro products with full support.

Indeed, it makes sense since you've paid a lot for those software and you have the rights to ask to Rovi if you have any kind of problem. Have you tried to see in the Rovi knowledge base? They updates it quite frequently especially when there are some workaround for some particular problems.
Since TotalCode is out by some time without particular updates, I suppose your problem can be solved turning on/off some particular feature (for example some time ago Rovi made some recommendations on b-pyramid and adaptive quantizations, which values to avoid and so on). I'm not using CineVision/TotalCode so I can't help you but probably Rovi already have the answer to your problem. Maybe if you ask to them you can resolve your problem in 1 day, rather than waiting 8+ days here for an answer that actually nobody here seems to know.

HI, friend, I would like to hear a feasibility proposal.
for example some recommendations on b-pyramid and adaptive quantizations,
I want to know your views,Please say it, if it is wrong, it does not matter!

Sure, that is the point of the forum. But isn't it best to get this info straight from the product developer rather than from someone else?

I did some tests,All settings are default,Only changed the following:
1、Use Pyramid B-frame structure, then B frames is 3 and Reference frames is 3,Playback picture appears mosaic!
2、B frames to 2 and Reference frames to 2,The picture is smooth,But some point will pause(L:10M/25M R:4M/16M),
I suspect that is the wrong mode of the decoder,I have been using FFDShow,

In 3D, Rovi suggests to not go over 2 B-frames to avoid compatibility problems on some STB players (look at their knowledge base, there's a PDF about "smoothness playback problems on 3d"). Also try to use 1 reference frame. Your bitrate is quite low, I highly doubt that it's too high for a smooth playback (I've see 3D BDs with higher datarate).

Thank you for your answer,
Your suggestions very helpful to me, I will now do what you suggest to test.(1 B-frames and 1 reference frame)
where can i download the PDF about "smoothness playback problems on 3d" ? (My English is not very good, was not found.)
Finally, thank you again, thanks!!!

Try 2 B-Frames with no b-pyramid, as suggested in the Rovi troubleshooting.
BTW it's called "Stuttering MVC Playback on some Players". You can download it from the Rovi KB

I only used once b-pyramid,The situation is very bad, full of mosaic。
I'm used to all settings are default,Only changed the B frames and Reference frames and Bit rate.
Now, I have coded an MVC, 1 B-frames and 2 reference frame(reference frame can only set 2-4),
Wait for the player to test. .
I hope good luck.

Hi,mp3dom.
Test results are still unsatisfactory。
Now, I list the settings and results。
All settings are default,Only changed the following:
(L:10M/25M R:4M/16M)
1、
B frames : 3
Reference frames :4
Test results:The screen is not smooth, but screen not pause.
2、
B frames : 2
Reference frames :2
Test results:The screen is smooth, but screen some time point have a small pause.
3、
B frames : 3
Reference frames :3
Use Pyramid B-frame structure
Test results:The screen is not smooth and some time point pause,Playback picture appears mosaic.
4、
B frames : 1
Reference frames :2
Test results:The screen is smooth, but screen some time point have a small pause.
so, I think this is all very magical.
I highly doubt, if B frames set 0 and Reference frames set 2,Test results is still unsatisfactory。
However, smoothness playback on Sony's BDP,
So, Video source and encoder is no problem,
Perhaps, these issues also relates to the need to set other parameters.(For example: quantify、)

As a final test, try with 2 Bframes, no refs, no b-pyramid. If you raise bitrate a bit, you should cope the gain of the refs.

on totalCode professional ,reference frame can only set 2-4(Maybe BD SPEC),so can`t set 0 or 1。
Now, I have to re-encoding, B-frames 2, Reference frames 4(set 4,screen screen not pause; set 2 ,screen some time point have a small pause)
I hope a miracle.

Do you think your answers make sense.
Makes perfect sense.
Also- most people, who do 3D titles doesn't use Sonic encoder as it's not very good (neither for AVC).
I'm still not sure why you have so many problems anyway- update firmware in your players, don't use Pyramid B frames. Problem can be with your BD-R burner/media- use good ones and burn at lower speed. Try lowering maximum combined bitrate <46Mbit. Some older players have big problems with 3D- they require no B frames at all. Good luck :)

Thank you very much for your advice.
This problem, I would like to temporarily give up some time.
Because I feel not so easy to solve

Maybe because he thought that by buying (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=146991) :) professional solutions he would be spared of thinking or leaning himself.
It's a common cause, that prompts eg a lot of customers to buy expensive DLSRs just to use their automatic modus.
