Is it possible to change the position of subtitles in mkv file?

I have a x264 encoded mkv file that has subtitles in it. They are not hardcoded.

How do I change the position of the subtitles, so I can set them a little higher?

Demux the subtitle and edit "margen V", then remux the sub to video ..

MKVExtract GUI (http://www.videohelp.com/tools/MKVExtractGUI) .. requires MKVtoolnix (http://www.videohelp.com/tools/mkvtoolnix) in same folder as mkvextractgui.exe/mkvewizard.exe.

MKVExtract GUI is hopelessly outdated and does not work correctly with newer mkvtoolnix versions.
Use mkvcleaver (at least 0.5.0.4) or MKVExtractGUI-2.

Note that sekininsha's suggestion only works for ASS/SSA subtitles. You may need to use a different technique for other formats.

If the subs are ASS or SSA format then the instructions above are appropriate. Do that, or d/l Aegisub (free) and you won't need to know anything about the file format. ASS/SSA allows you to put the subs anywhere you want, or do some really funky formatting.

If not, subs are moved in the player itself.
