Bluray is a whole new beast compared to the dvd. I' having problems with bluray menus. I'm now purchasing bluray movies and as always like to back up the movie (such as I did with dvd movies). In this case backup the blurays to br-r or br-rw single layer discs. I've ripped Celine Dion concert using the new DVDFab (also used Anydvd HD) to the HD. First I used IMGburn to burn the bluray structure to a bd25. When I tried to play the disc on my Sharp bluray player the menu didn't show and went straight to the main movie. I also tried to play the movie on the pc and the same thing. I decided to rerip the main movie only and perhaps create a menu in MultiAvchd. Same thing happened. There was no menu when trying to play the bluray. This senario happens no matter what bluray disc I rip. For some reason the menus don't show up. Of all the br discs I've ripped the menu files were in the stream folder. I thought the JAR folder contained the menu but then again Im back in the learning mode. I don't understand the Bluray structure like I do the dvd structure. I tried to work this out for the past week and blurays are so time consuming to work with compared to the dvd. Any help would be appreciated. :thanks:

Maybe it's the ripper, or your selected options (like "Movie only" :)).
Why do you need menus, anyway? The only players that don't have direct access buttons (on the RC) for subtitles/audio/skip are the BD-recorders series from Panasonic. Java menus (or any other java-implemented function) automatically disable the resume function of the player.
